ABOUT KAYLA SPOONER MEMORIAL SHOWCASE
Kayla Spooner Memorial Showcase is a community-focused event to raise money for scholarships for graduating seniors in the Plainfield public school system. The event was created by the P.A.R.C Non- Profit org (Terence and Monique Johnson) and her mom Keisha Petterway. The Event is Co-Sponsored by the Plainfield Public school system, MSU Skyliners and Different Breed Training.

Kayla D. Spooner, "KK", 15, also known to many as Kayla Thorpe, departed this life Fri. Sept. 29, 2017 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Livingston, NJ, she was a lifelong Plainfield resident and a 10th grade student at Plainfield High School. KK as she was also known was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Westfield. Kayla aspired to become a nurse to help children that suffered medically.
